Life is tough growing up in a junkyard, especially for a kind-hearted dog like Demo who just wants to love and be loved. But at Junkyard Joe’s there are no hugs and kisses, no fun and games—only hard work, hard luck, and tons and tons of barely used stuff that keeps coming from the citizens of Newton. When Demo’s attitude fails to measure up to Joe’s harsh standards, he’s dumped onto the streets where he’s forced to fend for himself. Feeling lonely and rejected, Demo can't understand why people are frightened by his rugged and filthy junkyard appearance. Only when Junkyard Joe hatches a treacherous plan to trap the town in its own garbage, does Demo get the chance to show what kind of dog he truly is.
